Kristina Jasiunaite

My career

I am currently studying Nonprofit, Social and Health Management at the Management Center Innsbruck. My focus is on sustainable development and the transition to a climate-friendly society.
Previously, I worked in the bicycle industry for over 20 years, where I founded two companies, among others. Most recently, my role as Managing Director Europe for World Bicycle Relief took me to East Africa, the USA and international conference stages.

Born in Lithuania, I experienced the political upheaval first hand as a teenager: the path from the Soviet Union to freedom. On August 23, 1989, I was part of the approximately two million people who formed a 700-kilometre-long human chain through the three Baltic states - a powerful sign of independence and peace.
